All items sold by Classic Hammonds® are new unless otherwise stated as "vintage and/or used". New items are sold with their manufacturer's warranties and are subject to the manufacturer's policies and procedures for returns.
Classic Hammonds® cannot act on behalf of the manufacturer on warranty matters of items not produced by Classic Hammonds®. Customer agrees and understands that the manufacturer's procedures are the only process for warranty service. Classic Hammonds® will assist customers in warranty claims. However, customer is responsible for all packing, shipping, and insurance fees.
"Vintage and/or used" items are sold as is, with the understanding that they worked as described when shipped from Classic Hammonds®.
All items produced by Classic Hammonds® returned for warranty will be evaluated to verify their condition. If inoperative status is verified, the item will be repaired or replaced with a new item at the sole discretion of Classic Hammonds®. Packing, shipping and insurance fees are non-refundable. Customer is responsible for packing, shipping and insurance fees both to and from Classic Hammonds®. In order to qualify for warranty status, items must be returned in brand new condition, with all original packaging, parts, and instructions. Items must be complete, unmarked, without ANY modifications, and show no signs of tampering.
All items purchased from Classic Hammonds® are made pursuant to a shipping contract. Due to the risk of loss and/or damage, insurance is highly recommended. Items shipped via USPS do not have any insurance included at no charge. Fed Ex and UPS include up to $100.00 of insurance with each package at no charge.
Items damaged by shipping companies, such as USPS, Fed Ex, UPS, etc., will be subject to that company’s insurance refund policies. Classic Hammonds® is not responsible for damage that occurs during shipping, and will not issue refunds for damaged items without first obtaining reimbursement from the shipper. Customers should be aware that claims to shippers can be very slow, as they have significant reason to delay and reject them.
Customers that wish to file a damage claim should be aware that the shipping company may take the item for inspection and ultimately return it to the place of origin, Classic Hammonds®. Customer explicitly agrees, in requesting a damage claim, to abide by the decision of the shipping company, with NO EXCEPTIONS. Classic Hammonds® will not be responsible for return shipping charges to the customer should a damaged item be returned to Classic Hammonds® by the shipping company. Further, Classic Hammonds® is not responsible for correcting any damages not agreed to by the shipping company.
Customers who wish to challenge these policies agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set forth by Classic Hammonds®.
Customers who attempt to avoid these policies by initiating a credit card charge back hereby implicitly agree to reimburse Classic Hammonds® for all charges and fees associated with said transaction.
